When fewer people participate in these roles, the flow of consistent income through the economy can slow down. Businesses, policymakers, and communities are now facing the challenge of adapting to a workforce that values flexibility, purpose, and balance in ways previous generations did not.

As automation continues to evolve and individuals continue to redefine their priorities, the future of work will likely look very different from the past.
